alveen shirinyans is the founder of Shirinyans Dispute Solutions. She is admitted to the New York Bar and registered with the Brussels Bar. Her practice focuses on international commercial and investment arbitration and related proceedings. She has acted as counsel and has supported arbitral tribunals as secretary and assistant in complex disputes across sectors. Her experience covers the lifecycle of proceedings—from initial strategy and written submissions to hearings, awards, and litigation concerning enforcement or setting aside. Her commercial arbitration experience includes disputes arising from construction projects.
Before founding Shirinyans Dispute Solutions, Alveen worked with leading international arbitration practices in Brussels and Paris. Her experience includes roles at van den Berg Arbitration, Hanotiau & van den Berg, White & Case and Orrick. She also served at the Secretariat of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris and managed disputes at the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution in New York.
Alveen serves as Deputy Chair of the Arbitration and ADR Commission of ICC Armenia and is Armenia’s delegate to the ICC Global Commission on Arbitration and ADR. She contributes to initiatives supporting more sustainable arbitration practice acting as the co-chair for campaign for greener arbitrations europe sub-commiteee. Alveen is regularly invited to speak on arbitration and dispute resolution at conferences and professional events. She also has teaching experience.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles with a concentration in international business law (2018) and holds a bachelor’s degree in business management (2013). Her background across the United States, Europe and the middle east informs a pragmatic, culturally fluent approach to international disputes.
